KETO-C® Medicated Flush for Dogs, Cats and Horses
KETO-C® Flush is a medicated topical cleansing solution formulated for dogs, cats and horses. It combines 0.2% Chlorhexidine Gluconate and 0.2% Ketoconazole in a liquid format designed for targeted cleansing of localized skin areas.
The flush can be used for topical cleansing of puncture wounds, lacerations and abrasions, as well as superficial skin infections. Its liquid format makes it useful when a specific area needs cleansing without bathing the animal's entire skin and coat.
What Is KETO-C® Flush?
KETO-C® Flush is a topical medicated flush containing two active ingredients: Chlorhexidine Gluconate and Ketoconazole.
Each ingredient is present at a 0.2% concentration. The formula provides antibacterial and antifungal cleansing while helping clean and dry the application area.
Unlike a medicated shampoo that is applied across larger areas of the skin and coat during bathing, KETO-C® Flush can be applied directly to a localized area that needs topical cleansing.
Chlorhexidine and Ketoconazole in One Medicated Flush
KETO-C® Flush combines:
- Chlorhexidine Gluconate 0.2%
- Ketoconazole 0.2%
Chlorhexidine provides antibacterial and antiseptic activity, while ketoconazole provides antifungal activity. Combining these ingredients in a topical liquid provides a convenient option for veterinarian-directed skin care when localized cleansing is needed.
KETO-C® Flush for Dogs
KETO-C® Flush can be used on dogs for topical cleansing of appropriate localized skin areas. The liquid format allows the solution to reach a specific area without requiring a complete bath.
For dogs with recurring or worsening skin concerns, consult your veterinarian to determine the appropriate topical care routine and frequency of use.
KETO-C® Flush for Cats and Horses
KETO-C® Flush is also formulated for cats and horses. The same combination of 0.2% Chlorhexidine Gluconate and 0.2% Ketoconazole provides targeted topical cleansing when used according to the product directions.
Follow the product label and your veterinarian's recommendations when incorporating a medicated flush into the skin care routine of a cat or horse.
When Is a Medicated Skin Flush Useful?
A medicated flush provides a different application method from shampoos, wipes and other topical products. Its liquid format is useful for targeted cleansing when only a localized area requires attention.
KETO-C® Flush may be used for topical cleansing of puncture wounds, lacerations and abrasions, as well as superficial skin infections. It also helps remove debris from the application area while providing cleansing and drying properties.
This targeted format can make localized topical care easier without requiring a full bath.
KETO-C® Flush vs. Medicated Shampoo
The appropriate topical format depends on the area that needs care.
A medicated shampoo is generally suited to broader skin and coat coverage during bathing. A medicated flush provides more targeted liquid application to localized areas. Wipes can provide controlled contact with smaller and easily accessible external areas.
KETO-C® Flush provides the chlorhexidine and ketoconazole combination in a liquid format for situations where targeted topical cleansing is preferred.
Is KETO-C® Flush an Ear Flush?
KETO-C® Flush and KETO-C® Tris Flush are different Stratford formulations and should not be considered interchangeable.
KETO-C® Flush contains 0.2% Chlorhexidine Gluconate and 0.2% Ketoconazole and is intended for topical skin cleansing. KETO-C® Tris Flush uses a different formulation and is designed for gentle cleansing and flushing of the ears and skin.
Use the product that matches your pet's care needs and follow your veterinarian's recommendations when caring for the ears or persistent skin concerns.
How to Use KETO-C® Flush
Apply KETO-C® Flush to the appropriate area according to the product label or your veterinarian's directions. The liquid can be applied to the area requiring topical cleansing, with excess solution and loosened material removed using cotton or another absorbent material.
Avoid contact with the eyes and mucous membranes. Do not allow the animal to lick the treated area until it is dry.
KETO-C® Flush in 4 oz, 8 oz and 12 oz Sizes
KETO-C® Flush is available in 4 oz, 8 oz and 12 oz sizes. Each size contains the same combination of 0.2% Chlorhexidine Gluconate and 0.2% Ketoconazole for topical use in dogs, cats and horses.
Choose the size that fits your animal's topical care routine and use the product according to the label and your veterinarian's guidance.
